Gabriel Alaniz, LMFT, is passionate about helping people in all areas of life such as relationship issues, life transitions, stresses, anxiety, as well as mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and more.

Your Source for Personal Growth

His practice is in the Glendora Village at 158 North Glendora Ave, Suite H., Glendora CA, 91741.

You don't have to have issues to benefit from therapy.

Gabriel Alaniz shared, "I think a misconception of counseling therapy coaching is that, 'Oh, I'm only going to go do that if I have some serious problems.' And actually, a large majority of the clients that I see are quite successful at what they do, have healthy relationships, but they just want to have better ones."

Check out a past Facebook Live Lori did with Gabriel Alaniz covering the impacts of COVID-19 on families.

The Mental Health Industry has changed since COVID-19.

A lot of things have gone digital, of course, like most things. Things have been busy. Gabriel said most private practices he knows of are completely booked.

"There's a lot of depression. There's a lot of people who are struggling with suicidal thoughts. There's a lot of people who are unhappy in their relationships. These are really really big things."

But a beautiful thing has come out of COVID-19 as Gabriel shared, "I'm glad that I'm seeing more vulnerability, and dropping their guards and sharing about how life is going."

People have grown more comfortable with talking about where they are at, and being transparent, focusing on their mental health.

Get comfortable with the potential to fail.

Don't let fear keep you from your freedom. It's in those moments that you embrace what scares you that you become successful.

Get comfortable talking about what scares you.

"What are those fears that you have? Verbalize it, because it's gonna lose its power that it has over you," encouraged Gabriel.

Take action towards your fear.

Don't resist what "is". Acknowledge it, and decide to take action that will bring you freedom.

Failures don't need to stop your growth.

Acknowledge when something didn't go right and remember everyone faces failure.

"If you're able to face your fears, so much can be accomplished," stated Gabriel.

Don't forget to enjoy the journey.

Vocalize your dreams. Find out what you really want. Life is a journey, a process. Finding out what you are passionate about is the best part of the journey to becoming the best version of yourself.

Gabriel said it beautifully, "We learn who we are sometimes by contrast."

When you do things, you can decide I do like this, or I don't like that. "Gathering life experience is huge. And you only do that by living it. By saying yes, but that's scary because we want to make the right decision every time. But those life experiences are shaping us to become better people."

No one needs to know.

It's the little victories no one even knows about that give you the greatest confidence.

So what fear are you going to embrace today?
