Everyone following Lori Alvarez on Facebook and Instagram was anxiously awaiting the grand reveal as the teasers came out. And here is it all in one go! Closed at the end of January and ready for lease by the beginning of March! Great turnaround time!
While the property didn’t need major repairs or renovation in its current condition, Lori said, “I like to make sure that my property is something I would live in. And I'm going to tell you, that property is better than my house…it’s so modern and up to date now.”

Always test your paint choices!
The bathtub was still in great condition! So Lori and Eric decided to keep the original frame and touched it up with a clean paint stain. Always a great option! You don’t have to do all the upgrades and renovations at once! The plan is to remodel the bathtub in about 5 years.

Renovation Tip! If you love the original wood flooring you may be able to save it! Look into polishing and refinishing the wood before you decide to discard it. Your contractor may be able to find the match to the original wood flooring too!

Buy in December! That’s a wonderful time to buy, and it’s when Lori chooses to pay attention to her investment choices the most. Less people are trying to buy a home in December!
Don’t overlook a home that seems perfect, but is missing just one thing. Ask your agent if there is a potential to add an extra bath, or modify for a laundry room, etc. You never know what potential renovations you can make!
