118: For the Love of Real Estate! My House Hasn’t Sold?!

It’s not personal...

Is your house sitting on the market? Are you having trouble selling your home?? Well… it’s nothing personal but most likely it is the price. YUCK. Who wants to hear that??! Why would a house just sit on the market?? Well today we are talking about what could be the few reasons a home doesn’t sell! Tune in and enjoy the conversation and remember for the love of real estate, all that matters in today’s market is the price and the condition of the home.

Remember these things that could make selling… tough

Stubborn sellers- A big one during divorce unfortunately.
BE OPEN TO SHOWINGS! This is SO important because IF you’re not open to showings- YOUR house won’t get seen -> it WILL NOT sell.
Hard to show properties- You’ll see these when there are special instructions to just walk through the door. If you have a front door that doesn’t work, it’s best to have it fixed before showing the home. It would be a HUGE turn off for potential buyers and not a great first impression.
FSBO- For sale by owners. If you come accross a fbso reach out to your trusted realtor to help you through that transaction!
Economy- While we obviously can’t control the economy, your realtor should understand the numbers!

Lastly, FOR THE LOVE OF REAL ESTATE remember all that matters when selling your home is PRICE and CONDITION. We have talked a lot about price but condition of your home is just as important.

If you home is a mess ( and it’s OKAY if it is) then expect to sell for less. Potential buyers will not see potential in the midst of your mess or things. If you want the most out of the sale, have the home cleaned and decluttered AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!
