REMEMBER: In most transactions-> Seller pays real estate commissions for the buyer and seller agents.
Question: If you skip the real estate agent… do you REALLY save money???
Answer: Most likely not. Agents are there to not only help the process… but they are there to get the most out of your proptey as possible… AND… If you select your agent carefully they WILL get you more money based on the fact that they are EXPERTS for you particular location and type of sell. And if you think about it… we choose experts for a reason right??
In saving money lets just say In a way… you kinda get what you pay for right?? skip the agent.. you get out of it what you would expect. We briefly mention using a discount brokerage and FSBO to save money but what exacly is a discount brokerage??
A discount brokerage is a real estate firm that offers reduced commission rates or flat-fee services to clients. They provide an alternative to traditional full-service brokerages by charging lower fees for selling a home. This can include reduced commission rates, flat fees, or limited services. While they offer cost savings, it's important for sellers to consider the level of support and services provided by the discount brokerage compared to traditional options.
