133: Current Real Estate Market in Today’s Challenging Economy
“…There just is not enough inventory…”
So what is really going on in the real estate market these days?? Right now the market is severely lacking inventory. With the lack of inventory it had made the prospect of buying difficult for anyone looking right? We have a lot of young families looking but with high pricing comes high prices.
SO who are selling?? We we have mostly people that are distressed selling. What is distressed selling?? Usually it is the families or scenarios going through a divorce, change of living circumstances, change of jobs, moving out of state and many other reasons. So there are still people selling, just a lot less right now. Hence = LOW inventory.
Something to think about when comparing the market
In 2011 in the local hyper specific area of San Dimas there were 111 homes for sale. This year there is ONLY 24. WOW that is a HUGE difference!
The reality is… WE NEED MORE INVENTORY.
SO ask yourself this question would you join today’s real estate market?
If you ask Lori here is what she would say…
IF the numbers make sense, and I can create a home, then YES! It would make sense!
