This is more of a reflective topic this week.
What does it mean to reset? Is it restarting? Starting anew?
It's a fresh start.
With all the changes in life from the world, to the way you commute to work, or the new city you moved to, it can be tough. New friendships, new bonds, new people, new routes.
New challenges. Did you start a new challenge this year? Did you already fail? There's nothing wrong with restarting. You're human. There will be times when you fall short of your goal.
You don't have to choose the next thing. You can choose the same thing, and do it again, and do it better.
You can find the opportunity in the growth of starting anew.
How do you think you respond to a reset and those circumstances in your life?
To hear about Lori Alvarez's growth into boxing and learning to reset listen to her stories on the podcast. What do you choose to reset—what's your hobby that helps? Lori chooses to focus on boxing—her latest passion. And her coach is constantly reminding her to reset her hand position, and plant her feet so she can throw a punch stronger and with more effectiveness.
Now let's take this back to real estate, family. How do you know resetting is right for your family if you choose to move? You may be struggling to make the decision, or hesitant because of the many unknowns.
Buying a home, selling a home, can be stressful. Between the paperwork a lender needs or the many documents, you need to get together to make it happen it gets overwhelming.
We want to encourage you, whether you're in the middle of buying real estate or in the middle of life—to reset. Breathe through it. Be excited. Be uncomfortable. And step into it.
And if you need help, ask someone to support you, to come alongside you, and to be your accountability, your encourager.
A wise friend of ours, who has been on the podcast before, Rebekah Hogan, said, each morning, write down what you want to accomplish. Write down what you are excited about in the next week.
So what do you want to accomplish? What are you excited about?
Lori closed out the episode with,
"No matter what it is, no matter how scary it is, no matter what fear you have in it is the opportunity to begin afresh, the opportunity to look around and see what's happening and then do it differently. Do it better. Just do it."
